Daniel George Georgiton, 77 of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025 at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce.

Daniel was born February 1, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to George Peter and Mildred Louise Georgiton. He moved to Fort Pierce in the 1970’s from Columbus after his military service.
Daniel was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a medical assistant and had completed training at the Naval Hospital Corps School and the Field Medical Service School as well as the Embarkation for Amphibious Operation School. During his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device Combat Action Ribbon and Vietnam Service Medal with FMF Combat Insignia. His last duty assignment was with the First Marine Division.

Daniel had been a member of the Greek Orthodox faith. He graduated from Franklin Heights High School in Columbus where he played basketball for three years.

Survivors include his companion of 23 years, Christine King and son, Kyle Georgiton. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Johnny Georgiton and sister, JoAnne George Georgiton Stamatakos.
