James Onzie Hill

James Onzie Hill, 91, of Ft. Pierce, Florida, passed away on August 3, 2025 at the VNA Hospice House.
He was born April 25, 1934, in Laurel County, Kentucky. The only son of the late Coy and Betty Lou Hill, Jim and his seven sisters were raised in Corbin. Following graduation from Corbin High School, he enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army. Jim moved to Vero Beach in 1957 and worked 38 years at Piper Aircraft as a production leadman.
He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
He leaves his memories to be cherished by his daughters, Janet Studer and Robin (Dwayne) Curry both of Vero Beach; grandchildren, Sabrina (Austin) Theis of Palm Coast, FL, Joshua (Macy) Curry of Vero Beach, Angel (Austin Parrish) Studer of Sebastian and D.J. Studer of Wabasso; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Ty, Emma and Kash; sisters, Marlene (Rob) Robbins of Milledgeville, GA and Tenna (David) Sprinkle of Eldridge, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his wife, Cora F. Hill and sisters, Rose Mae Hedrick, Edith Hickey, Joanne Wilson, Jeanette Ellison, and Brenda Elso.
At the request of the family, services will be private.

Sorry for your loss. Hope him and dad are hanging together. Jim was always Nice to me. I have most of his Wirely birds. And he drawed me patterns how to make them. Hopefully Soon!!
