Fred had a wry wit and was easy to talk to. He relayed many interesting tidbits about his life while I kept him company for Sally during his final weeks. He made beautiful carvings and he was very proud of Sally’s beautiful
quilts. My sincere condolences to Sally and family.

Fred always had calming spirit about him. We loved our time spent at your cabin in North Carolina and visiting you both in Sebastian. Colin still has his hiking stick Fred carved for him with his initials. I also remember Fred’s yo-yo skills and him taking the time to teach Colin & Craig a few. Sally, you’ve been in our thoughts and my prayers so much these last few months. I hope you feel the love and support from friends and family during this time.
(I do have some pictures to share with Myra but I’m not sure how to do it on this site.)

We were deeply saddened to hear of Fred’s passing. He was a good friend and a great carving buddy. We have missed him since he moved full time to Florida, but will always remember the hours we spent talking and carving and enjoying the peace and contentment that goes with shaping wood with a knife and a gouge. Thanks, Fred, for your friendship. Our prayers are with the family.
