It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Adolfo Mario Cepeda Rodado on November 15, 2025. Born on July 10, 1939, Adolfo lived a full and meaningful life filled with love for his family.
Adolfo’s memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife, Zoila Cepeda Crespo, his daughters Kelly Tellez Cepeda and Yesenia (Jessi) Cepeda, his son-in-law, Luis Tellez and an admired father figure to Elkin Crespo. He was also a proud grandfather to Genesis, Kaitlin, Elkin Jr., Matthew, Nicholas, Angel, Ayden and Jahsad. His sisters, Cielo Neira, Fanny Sanabria, Sonia Ahumada, and Dennis Ortiz are left to mourn his passing. Adolfo was predeceased by his parents, Sunilda and Blas Cepeda, his brothers, Ismael, Wilfran, Jaime Cepeda, and his sisters, Maria Mendoza, and Ruth Bustamante. Despite the absence of his siblings and parents, Adolfo always held them close to his heart.
Adolfo’s passion for Vallenato, a traditional Colombian music genre, and his unwavering support for his favorite soccer team – El Junior and loved to watch boxing. He enjoyed simple pleasures like playing with fidget spinners and cherished every opportunity he could get to spend time with his family.
Adolfo was stubborn yet calm, and his resilient spirit led him to emigrate from Colombia to New York in pursuit of better opportunities. Despite his stature, he walked tall and commanded respect. He was the pillar of his family, teaching his children and grandchildren to be independent and raising in them a love for their rich Colombian heritage. His love for his family and especially his grandchildren was beyond compare. Though he lived in the United States, he never stopped loving his home country, Colombia.
His passing is a significant loss, but his memory lives on in the hearts of his loved ones and those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
Es con profunda tristeza que anunciamos el fallecimiento del Sr. Adolfo Mario Cepeda Rodado el 15 de noviembre de 2025. Nacido el 10 de julio de 1939, Adolfo vivió una vida plena y significativa, llena de amor por su familia.
La memoria de Adolfo será para siempre atesorada por su amorosa esposa, Zoila Cepeda Crespo, sus hijas Kelly Tellez Cepeda y Yesenia (Jessi/Yesi) Cepeda, y una figura paterna admirada para-Elkin Crespo. También fue un orgulloso abuelo de Genesis, Kaitlin, Elkin Jr., Matthew, Nicholas, Angel, Ayden y Jahsad. Sus hermanas, Cielo Neira, Fanny Sanabria, Sonia Ahumada y Dennis Ortiz, estan triste por su fallecimiento. Adolfo fue precedido en muerte por sus padres, Sunilda y Blas Cepeda, sus hermanos Ismael, Wilfran, Jaime Cepeda, y sus hermanas, Maria Mendoza y Ruth Bustamante. A pesar de la ausencia de sus hermanos y padres, Adolfo siempre los tenía cerca de su corazón.
La pasión de Adolfo por Vallenato, un género musical tradicional colombiano, y su apoyo inquebrantable a su equipo de fútbol favorito, El Junior, y tambien le encantaba ver boxeo. Disfrutaba de placeres sencillos como jugar con su fidget spinners y valoraba cada oportunidad que tenía para pasar tiempo con su familia.
Adolfo era un poco terco pero sereno, y su espíritu resiliente le llevó a emigrar de Colombia a Nueva York en busca de mejores oportunidades. A pesar de su estatura, caminaba con orgullo y imponía respeto. Fue el pilar de su familia, enseñando a sus hijos y nietos a ser independientes y criar en ellos el amor por su rica herencia colombiana. Su amor por su familia y especialmente por sus nietos era incomparable. Aunque vivió en Estados Unidos, nunca dejó de amar a su país natal, Colombia.
Su fallecimiento es una pérdida significativa, pero su memoria vive en los corazones de sus seres queridos y de quienes le tocó su vida. Que descanse en paz.
