Margaret “Margie” Terry

December 31, 1953 ~ November 08, 2025

Margaret “Margie” Terry, 71, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025.
Margie was born on December 31, 1953, in Plainfield, New Jersey, to John and Margaret (Hussey) Ruane. She graduated from Plainfield High School.
In 1968, when her family purchased a home on Long Beach Island, Margie found a place that would forever feel like home. Summers on L.B.I. became some of the most beautiful chapters of her life. She later shared those sunlit days with her children, Scott and Cory, creating memories at the “Joshua Ave house” that were filled with laughter, tradition and a deep sense of belonging.
The shore was Margie’s summer sanctuary. She loved the warmth of the sun, softness of the sand and the simple joy of being near the water. One of her happiest memories was catching a record setting 13½-pound, 36-inch bluefish for the town of Beach Haven. A story she proudly retold throughout her life. Those summers by the sea remained close to her heart, shaping who she was and how she loved.
In 1986, Margie moved to Vero Beach, Florida. For more than 20 years, she welcomed guests at Bobby’s Restaurant with her warm smile and kind nature. She had a special way of making people feel comfortable and over the years she formed many lasting friendships with those who crossed her path.
Margie will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kindness and the love she shared so easily with those around her. Her presence brought comfort and joy and her memory will continue to be held close by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Cory Terry and her brother, Kevin (Kathy) Ruane. She was predeceased by her son, Scott Christopher Terry and her brothers, Paul and Jack Ruane.
At the request of the family, services will be private.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
