Rebecca Kezia Lawrence

August 02, 1964 ~ November 14, 2025

Rebecca Kezia (Pauley) Lawrence peacefully passed away on November 14th, 2025 while surrounded by loved ones. She was born on August 2nd, 1964 in Newport News, VA. She was the youngest of four and the only daughter to Robert and Roberta. She grew up in Hampton, VA, and graduated from Hampton High School.

Rebecca lived in Fredericksburg, VA and Whitesboro, NY before finding her home in Vero Beach, FL. Rebecca worked for Goline Public Transit for 14 years where her kindness, familiar smile, and warm spirit touched everyone she met. She didn’t just do her job—she brightened days, and left a mark on the entire community that will never be forgotten.

She found joy in cooking, gardening, treasure-hunting at thrift stores with friends, blasting rock music, riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle (a love she shared with her father), and rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles. Rebecca had a way of seeing beauty in everything and everyone around her. Above all, she treasured her role as a grandmother. She carried her love for her grandson everywhere she went, sharing it openly with anyone who would listen.

Rebecca is survived by her children: River and Cassandra “Allana” (Stephen); her grandson: Emani; her siblings: Robert “Bobby”, Richard “Ricky”, and Rodney (Connie); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert, and mother, Roberta.

A service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Millennium Cremation Service.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
