Marjorie Mouring, 94, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother in law, grandmother in law, and so much more to those around her. Born on October 16, 1931, in Newark, New Jersey, Marjorie lived a life full of love, adventure, and devotion to her family.
Marjorie was predeceased by her loving husband, Dr. Thomas Mouring, her parents, Martha Gray Alders and Nicholas Alders, and her siblings, Nicholas and Claudette Alders, as well as many of her lifelong friends. Yet her spirit, warmth, and the memories she created continue to live on in each of us who were fortunate enough to know her.
Marjorie met her soulmate, Thomas, in high school and after dating for nearly four years, they were married on September 14, 1952, in Newark, NJ. Their love story was one of enduring devotion, with their marriage spanning an incredible 67 years. Together, they explored the world, living in France while Thomas served in the Army, traveling across Europe, and later building a loving home in Maplewood, New Jersey, where they raised their two children, Melanie and Jason. Their shared love of life, travel, and family continued as they created countless memories on family vacations and adventures abroad, including cherished annual trips to Aruba and Brigantine Beach with family. She also loved getting together with her best girlfriends, The Hobnob Entity (aka T.H.E.), who also traveled the world together sharing lots of laughs and love amongst them. In 2017, Marjorie and Thomas moved to North Carolina to be closer to family, continuing to share their lives with loved ones. Following her husband’s passing, Marjorie moved to Florida in 2022 with her family, where she remained until her passing.
Marjorie had a quiet but mighty presence. Soft yet strong, she was deeply committed to her family and community. She enjoyed volunteering at NJPAC, watching Broadway shows, listening to jazz, sewing, shopping, and following her favorite shows—Dancing with the Stars, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune—with Thomas each night. She took pride in her appearance, keeping her nails and toes perfectly done and her lipstick ready before visits to the casino.
Above all, Marjorie’s greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her daughter, Melanie Little, and her husband, Anthony; her son, Jason Mouring, and his wife, Jane; five beloved grandchildren—Brittany (Bryan), Janae (Keasaun), Gabrielle, Jake, and Grace (Jake); two cherished great-grandchildren, Milah and Kamryn; and many other family and friends who were touched by her kindness, love, and gentle strength.
Marjorie’s life reminds us that love, dedication, and grace endure beyond the years. Though she departed this life at the age of 94, her spirit, her laughter, her warmth, and her unwavering love for her family will remain with us always.

My sweet grandmother, I will miss you dearly.
You and Grandaddy have always been the epitome of what people think of as the “perfect” grandparents. You made your family feel endlessly loved and always did whatever you could to keep smiles on our faces.
It was one of the greatest honors of my life to help care for you and walk beside you in these last years. I find peace knowing you are no longer in pain or suffering in any way. I know Grandaddy and all of your girls were there to greet you in heaven with the biggest hugs.
I will miss you every single day. I love you so much.
Please watch over us here… until we meet again.

My deepest condolences to the family. I pray that God sheds his love, light and comfort. I had the honor to meet and know “Mom” as a family friend. From the 1st time I met her, I was emotional and my heart dropped because she resembled my deceased grandma. Mrs Mouring always greeted with a smile, hug and kiss. One great stand out was knowing some of her stories shared by her daughter Mel, my friend. Especially to know the great loving, giving and SELFLESS heart she had. This love is her legacy and one that will live in spirit forever within all her loved ones. May you now rest in peace and rejoice in heaven with our heavenly Father and his angels as you now gained your wings.

Dear Family,
I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Marjorie was truly a beautiful person, inside and out. I called her “Grandma,” but in speaking to others I spoke of her as my stepmom, because of my love and respect for her wisdom and grace. She had a loving presence that I adored. She was a true role model of what it means to be a lady. Her kindness, gentleness, and insight—especially about motherhood—left a lasting impression on me. I always wanted to make sure she was comfortable, whether it was offering her a drink or fixing her a plate, and wanted to give her that care and attention. I will miss her —especially our time together at my big sister’s house. I always got such a kick out of her joining us for cocktails; she surprised me every time, and those moments will forever make me smile.
Please know that you and the family are in my thoughts and prayers. Marjorie’s love, wisdom, and grace will live on through all who were blessed to know her.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Sunny

Mrs Mouring was one of the nicest, and sweetest persons that you would ever want to know. She showed love and kindness to everyone she met and she was the angel of her family. We all loved her and she will truly be missed by everyone. Thank God for all the sweet memories she left with all of us. There has never been a grandmother that could out love her love when it came to her grandchildren, Brittany,Janae, and Gabby they were her 3 angels. Sleep on Margie and take your rest, we all love you but God love you best. Melanie I’m praying God will give you all the strength you need to get through this tough time of mourning. Every time you feel sad think of the good times that you had together and that alone will give you strength. Keeping you and all the family in my prayers. I love all of you❤️❤️❤️❤️

To my beautiful grandmother,
Seeing you go is not easy..but I know the last thing you’d ever want is to see us upset. Now I will forever hold on to all the memories we shared to look back on and keep in my heart. You were everything I could’ve asked for plus more as a grandmother. My best memories in life were because of you and grandaddy. You cared so deeply about all of your grandchildren and always made sure we felt so special. It’s so hard to see you leave but I know you are now reunited with Grandaddy. I love you forever Grandma.
