Charles Tranfaglia

February 09, 1949 ~ January 15, 2026

Charles “Chuck” Tranfaglia Jr., devoted father and husband from Sebastian, FL passed away at the age of 76 on January 15 after a lengthy illness.

Chuck was born in Lynn, MA on February 9, 1949 to Florence (Giorato) and Charles Tranfaglia Sr. He graduated from Classical High School in Lynn in 1967. After high school he joined the US Air Force, and upon return from military service, married his high school sweetheart Shirley Masse in 1969. He was employed by the General Electric Corporation in Lynn for 33 years. Upon his retirement he and Shirley moved to Sebastian to live out their well-deserved retirement away from the New England winters.

Chuck loved attending and hosting gatherings for family and friends where he could laugh and joke with everyone around him. He never missed an opportunity to create memories with those he loved. He also loved animals and pets, especially his dog Sonny. He was an avid golfer and fisherman throughout his life. He played guitar, sang, and ran a Karaoke and DJ business under the name “The Music Maniac” in Sebastian. He also volunteered at local nursing homes singing to the residents, and as a kitchen worker at the Sebastian VFW. Chuck was a kind and generous person that loved to make people laugh. He will especially be remembered by his family and friends for his practical jokes, belly laughs, and wonderful sense of humor. No family event was complete without Chuck.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife Shirley, his daughters Tina Batres, and Jennifer DiGregorio and her husband Paul; grandchildren Niko Rogers, Angela Batres, and Emily DiGregorio; great-grandchildren Dollyana Rogers, and Kody Yates; his siblings Joseph Tranfaglia and his wife Siobhan, Deborah Tranfaglia, Candis Gillette, Catherine Giorato, Dennis Tranfaglia, James Tranfaglia and his wife Patricia, his sister-in-law Maryellen Mahoney-Tranfaglia, and Michael Tranfaglia and his wife Charlene, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Florence and Charles Tranfaglia, his brother Mark Tranfaglia, and niece Nicole Tranfaglia.

Donations in Chuck’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. A celebration of life will be planned for the summer of 2026 in Sebastian, FL.

The obituary was beautifully written but wanted to add that Chuck was always a helpful neighbor.
Even though my name is not Reba, that is what he called me because he said I sounded like Reba McIntyre.
Rest in Peace Neighbor

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
