Kathryn Elizabeth Almeida, 52, of Melbourne, went to Heaven on December 30, 2025. She had a love for life and was a faith-filled woman, devoted wife and mother, doting grandmother, loving daughter, and wonderful sister.
Kathryn treasured spending time with family, loved traveling and hiking to experience nature’s beauty, enjoyed growing her faith with her daily devotionals, and reveled in being a grandmother. Kathryn had a passion for home projects and the skills to successfully deliver them. Everyone who knew Kathryn knew the power tools in the home were hers. She will be remembered for her pure love of life, joy in everything she did, generosity, loving spirit, ability to light up a room with her smile, and her good-hearted nature. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone warmly.
Kathryn was the beloved daughter of William Adams and Elizabeth (King) White, born on August 26, 1973, in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was raised in Melbourne and graduated from Palm Bay High School in 1991. She married her lifelong love, David Almeida, in 1993, recently celebrating 32 years of blissful marriage.
Kathryn received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 1995 and Childbirth Educators certification in 1998. She worked as a childbirth educator and part-time assistant at a local Women’s and Children Center until she decided to become a full-time homemaker. Kathryn was a dedicated mother and raised her children with David in West Melbourne, Florida.
Kathryn is survived by her loving family: husband, David Almeida; son, David Almeida II and his fiancée, Nathalie Gonzalez; daughter, Mikayla (Almeida) Sadowski and her husband, Jake Sadowski; grandson, Rowan Sadowski; parents, John White and Elizabeth (King) White and William Adams and Eileen (McFarlane) Adams; and sisters, Cynthia (Adams) Lo Galbo, Jennifer (White) Guerrero, and Christina White.
A memorial service will be held on February 2, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic, Florida. The family is also planning a Celebration of Life in the first weekend in May.

I’m so sorry for the tragic loss of our beloved Kathy. She was such a beautiful soul. She was a wonderful friend to me, especially in middle school when I didn’t have a lot of friends. She accepted me and loved me. I am sending love to her amazing family. She loved you incredibly much. I’m sure she is enjoying the peace and painlessness of heaven.

Sending so much love to the Almeida family. Kathy was one of the brightest rays of sunshine that ever graced this planet! Just knowing that she was going to be at a get together was what made it a party. I am so deeply sorry for this incredible loss…grateful knowing that she is healthy and whole in heaven, but praying fervently for those she has left behind. She was a woman of incredible substance and impact-the kind of woman who will NEVER be forgotten! I am praying for peace for Dave and the kids, and that everyone is flooded with all of the best memories.

Kathy, You were a lovely friend since 7th grade. I will forever treasure the dinners we shared later on in life, laughing and chatting all night with the girls. Truly blessed to have spent that precious time together over the past few years sharing good laughs, good memories and good wine. You are unforgettable and we will miss you and your beautiful smile and think of you often. Rest in eternal paradise dear friend . Love and prayers to Dave and your children and sweet grandson .

Kathy was such a ray of light and optimism. The memories we share with her and Dave are some of the fondest from our youth. From double dates to being in each others weddings. We grew into adults with each other. There are no words that we can share that can truly describe how amazing she was, but I know she lives on through her family and faith.

David, David JR, Mikayla-my heart is broken for you but I’m rejoicing with all of Heaven in Kathy’s homecoming. Whether it was Brownies and Girl Scouts when we were little to navigating our kiddos at WMSS I have and will always cherish our friendship.

Kathy was by far the most optimistic and brave woman that I have ever met, thus earning her the name Braveheart in our household. Her positive energy permeated the room, and just made you a better person for being in her presence. We had the blessing of having Kathy and David at our wedding recently and it was beautiful to see their true love for each other as they danced together. The world is a better place because of Kathys kindness, intellect, faith and bravery. May she rest in the arms of God in eternal peace. May her grace guide all her beloved friends and family until we meet again.

Dave, I am so sorry that Kathy is no longer with you and your family. Please know that she and your family have been in our prayers for quite some time. We only met Kathy once and she proved to be the wonderful person that you always talked about as we worked together for many years. I know that your strong Catholic faith will help you get through this very sad time. We continue to pray that God may comfort you and your family.

We all lost a great human. To David and family- my condolences on the deepest level- your loss is the greatest. Please let fond memories eclipse your grief soon.
Kathy always had a smile, positive attitude, and had thoughtful kind words when I asked her council. Since 7th grade, Kathy and I always shared a few classes each year, and I could always depend upon her honesty and kindness.
I remember a casual run-in at Target a couple years ago. It was great to catch up since the last happenstance meeting, which was probably in the same Target on 192.
She was so proud of her family, David, her children, and spoke about them with a glow in her eyes. She seemed so happy and content. I was so happy to see her in a great place.
Her loss is a loss for all who knew her. Personally, I took it hard, and my tears still come when I think of David and their children.
God bless the Almeida family.
