Roger Edward Seybold

September 20, 1949 ~ February 27, 2026

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Edward Seybold, 76 on Friday, February 27, 2026. Deeply mourned by his brothers and sisters, James Seybold (Rita), Jo Ann Raskin, Jane Owen, and Lester Seybold, Jr.  Roger was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Audrey Seybold, his sister, Cindy Seybold Sommers, his brothers-in-law Glenn “Tom” Owen and Stuart “Stu” Raskin.

Roger was born in Canastota, NY to Lester and Audrey Seybold. He lived his early years in State Bridge, NY.  In 1968 he graduated from Vernon, Verona, Sherill High School.  Roger served in the Armed Forces in Frankfort, Germany.   In the mid 70’s Roger moved to South Florida where he obtained his Captains license for charter fishing boats on the east coast. Something he thoroughly enjoyed with pride.

Roger was an uncle who loved his nephews and nieces, Jaime Seybold, Robbie Seybold, Nico Owen LaBounty, Nikki Lumley, David Kranbuhl, and Leslie Friedel as well as several great nephews and nieces.

Roger was a great brother, loving uncle, and a loyal friend who will be sadly missed.

To all of those that think of me, be happy as I go out to sea. If others wonder why I’m missing, just tell them I’ve gone fishing.

Dear Uncle,

I will cherish all the wonderful memories we shared. One of my favorite memories is that you took me to see the movie Grease at the movie theater, so sweet of you to do especially since that isn’t your jam. Your infectious laugh still echoes in my mind, bringing a smile to my face every time I think of those fun moments together. The joy and warmth you brought into my life will always stay with me. I love and miss you.

With all my heart, Nico

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
