Thomas Convery, Sr.- age 86,
of Palm Bay, FL, peacefully passed away on February 28, 2026.
A long-time resident of Florida, Tom was born in 1939 to James and Frances Convery who settled in New York after immigrating from Ireland. Before marrying Mary Ellen Carroll and becoming a husband and father, Tom was an early IBM-er and served in the US Coast Guard. He later became successful in pharmaceutical sales and retired from AstraZeneca. During retirement, Tom and Mary Ellen made their home on Lake Hartwell, SC, and in Sun City Center, FL.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen, his sister Ann and his parents. He is survived by his dog, Jean; his son, TJ (Alease) of Lilburn, GA; his daughter, Mary Ann Roth (Todd) of Boca Raton FL and his grandchildren Bailey Roth of Coconut Creek, FL and Blake Roth (Sam) of Denver, CO and his great-granddaughter, Raegan.
Tom loved boating, owned many boats through the years, and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary for over 20 years in Merritt Island, boating and fishing offshore through Cape Canaveral and various trips on the ICW & Bahamas. He was also a lover of dogs and had many over his lifetime, working with GRRMF (Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid FL) where he volunteered with Mary Ellen for years.
