Jo Ann Delicato

October 16, 1947 ~ March 31, 2026

Jo Ann Delicato, 78, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 31, 2026.

Jo Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend whose kindness and love touched all who knew her. She shared 29 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Gary Delicato.

Born to the late Francis and William Heist, Jo Ann was raised with strong values of family and resilience. She graduated from Clawson High School, Class of 1965, and went on to build a dedicated career, retiring after 30 years from GMAC (MIC) Insurance. She took pride in her work and remained a proud owner of GM vehicles throughout her life.

She was a loving mother to Ryan Maur (Jenny) and a devoted stepmother to Tina Vitale (Rosolino), Lisa Weaver, and the late Tony Delicato and Stacy Delicato. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her cherished grandchildren: Arlyne (Ricky), the late Nick, Lek (Jade), Antonio (Mariam), Jessica, Nathan, Josh, Joe, Riley (Lizzie), Evan, Colin, Owen, and Izzy.

Jo Ann is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-grandchildren, all of whom will remember her fondly.

She cherished lifelong friendships, maintaining a close-knit group of friends from her high school years, and had a natural gift for making new friends along the way—a testament to her loyalty and the deep connections she formed.

To those closest to her, Jo Ann was more than family—she was a trusted sounding board and a remarkable source of advice: firm, logical, and no-nonsense, yet always delivered with grace and kindness. Her wisdom and steady presence will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and William Heist; her brother, Michael Heist; her mother-in-law, Josephine Delicato; and her brother-in-law, Rodney Delicato.

Jo Ann will be remembered for her strength, her independence, and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of wisdom, kindness, and steady guidance will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.

At the request of the family, no services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Millennium Cremation Services. Condolences may be shared online at www.millenniumcremationservice.com

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Jo Ann’s memory to the William Childs Hospice House through the Health First Foundation.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
