I used to work for Wendell and Bill when I was 13 years old at Collins 66 enjoyed every moment of it later on, they had a business in Lake Wales, where I was able to go and play country music for the folks that visit their business there I am 73 now and if they both were still around, I’d work for them again they were great friends, and I love them and their whole family and when it comes to my turn to leave this world if they have a business in heaven, I’d love to work for them again. Praying for you so may God bless you.

Wendell was more like a Father to me than an Uncle. We so much enjoyed our visits to Ft Drum and Ft Pierce and to Baxley for the reunions. We so enjoyed their visits to Montana too. We recall when Wendell went out to Dad’s job in the woods in Northwest Montana when it was 40 below. He was tough and was always up for anything. Dad looked forward to Wendell’s weekly phone conversations, mostly about politics. We still can’t believe he is gone. Hopefully there is a heck of a family reunion happening where they all are. He will be missed terribly. Our deepest condolences to Sue and the “kids”, Brothers and Sisters and all that loved Wendell…too many to list. Rest in Peace, Uncle Wendell.
