Frances Ann Hooker

August 09, 1957 ~ May 29, 2026

Frances Ann Hooker, 68, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully and entered Heaven on May 29, 2026.
Born in Vero Beach on August 9, 1957, Frances was the daughter of Sammy and Doreen Hooker. She is now reunited in Heaven with her parents and her beloved brother, Windell Hooker.
A lifelong resident of Vero Beach, Frances graduated from Vero Beach High School as a proud member of the Fighting Indians Class of 1976.
Frances was a dedicated member of the community throughout her life. In her younger years, she served on the volunteer ambulance squad and later worked as a retail store manager for many years. In her later years, she found great fulfillment working for Indian River County Schools as a clinic aide, where she returned to what she loved most—caring for others. She was always willing to help anyone in need, whether it was offering support, a kind word, or simply a ride. Her generous spirit and caring heart touched many lives.
Frances is survived by her brother, Roy Hooker; and her nieces and nephews: Sam Hooker, Chad Hooker, Shelby Hooker, David Hooker, Cindy Johnson, Travis Hooker, Jason Hooker, Raymond Hooker, J.C. Hooker, and Stephanie Stone.
Frances will be deeply loved, fondly remembered, and greatly missed by all who knew her.

I am saddened to learn of Fran’s passing. She was a classmate of mine and a former coworker. Fran was a very upbeat, kind, person and she will be missed. My sincerest sympathies to Fran’s family.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
