Maria Teresa Perez

October 01, 1959 ~ July 12, 2026

In loving memory of Maria Teresa Perez.

With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Maria Teresa Perez, who entered into eternal rest on July 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with dementia.

Born to Socorro Rivera (deceased) and William Rivera (deceased), Maria was a woman of unwavering strength, fierce determination, and unconditional love. Although dementia challenged her in her final years, it never diminished the resilient spirit that defined her. She fought bravely until the very end, inspiring those who loved her with courage and perseverance.

Maria leaves behind her devoted husband, Nestor Perez; her daughter, Socorro Ruiz; her son, Carlos Ruiz; her stepdaughter, Naomi Perez; and her stepson, Nestor Perez, Jr. Her greatest joy was her family, and she took immense pride in watching it grow through her beloved grandchildren: Giovanni Gomez, Tristan Gomez, Jessica Ruiz, Aiyana Galarza, Xavier Ruiz, and Kyla Ruiz. Each of them carries a piece of her heart and the countless memories she created with them.

Maria’s kindness, strength, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the lives she touched. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and has found perfect peace in the presence of the Lord.

God’s words remind us that death is not the end for those who place their hope in Him:

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
-Revelation 21:4

And we will hold tightly to His promise:

“For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven… and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive… will be caught up together with them… And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”
-Thessalonians 4:16-18

Until that glorious day, we take comfort in knowing this is not a final goodbye. It is simply, “See you later.” We trust in God’s promise that we will be reunited in His eternal kingdom, where there will be no more sickness, no more pain, and no more tears.

Maria Teresa Perez will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed. Her legacy of strength, courage, and love will live on in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Rest peacefully, Mom. Until we meet again.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
