Constantine Stanley Perrone, Jr. (“Stan”), of Micco, Florida, formerly of Bethel, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, with his eldest daughter, Denise, by his side. The last of ten children, Stan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Michelina (“Mickey”), with whom he shared more than 72 years of marriage. He is also survived by five of their six children: Denise, Daughter-in-law Karen, Michael (Veronica), Joseph, Steven, and Marie (Mark), along with 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren who will forever cherish their memories of him. He was predeceased by their son, Stanley Perrone of Newtown, Connecticut. To his family, Stan was simply Dad, Pop, and Pop-Pop—in his later years, a presence whose love, wisdom, and willingness to help will be deeply missed. His family was his greatest source of pride, and the memories he created with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will live on for generations. Stan was a plumber by trade and the owner of Perrone’s Plumbing, but his talents went far beyond his profession. He had a knack for fixing almost anything, and if something was broken, Stan was the person you wanted to call. He was a hardworking man who took pride in helping others and in doing things the right way. Perhaps one of Stan’s most enduring legacies, however, was his many years of dedication to the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. Through his commitment to AA, Stan influenced countless lives and helped many people along their journeys in sobriety. He was known for his simple but memorable saying: “Don’t drink and go to meetings.” His compassion, wisdom, and willingness to be there for others made a lasting difference in the lives of those he helped. Stan’s influence within AA will be remembered as an important part of his legacy—one that can continue to live on through the many lives he affected and the generations that follow. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. His memory will live on in the people he loved, the people he helped, and the lessons he left behind. Rest peacefully, Stan/Dad/Pop. You were loved, you were needed, and you will never be forgotten.

Your father was a great friend to my family. I remember all of us kids being friends when our family lived on Dryden Street growing up next to your grandparents. Your parents used to stop by when they came to Florida to see my parents. I know you and your family are grieving now for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
