Linda Finn Bergeron, 85, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026. She will be remembered for her warmth, outgoing spirit, and lifelong devotion to family, friends, and community.
Born January 15, 1941, in DeWitt, New York, Linda attended Syracuse University, where she met her late husband, Robert “Bob” Bergeron, through their shared love of the theater. Linda and Bob eventually settled in Madison, Connecticut, where they raised their two children, Lisa and Douglas. During her years in Madison, Linda was actively involved in her community and was elected to serve on the Madison Board of Finance and the Board of Education. She also worked as a paralegal and manager of several local law firms.
Linda was an avid tennis enthusiast. She completed a professional umpire course and became a certified official with the United States Tennis Association (USTA), serving as a line umpire at the US Open and other professional tournaments in Key Biscayne, Delray Beach, Boston, and Washington, D.C., over a period of more than 15 years.
Following retirement in 1999, Linda and Bob made their home in Vero Beach, Florida, where Linda continued to pursue her love of the performing arts where she contributed many years of her time and talents through various volunteer roles at Riverside Theater.
Among Linda’s most treasured traditions were summers spent at the family cabin on Great Sacandaga Lake in New York. Year after year, she returned to the lake, a place filled with family memories and a deep sense of belonging. She continued this beloved tradition for as long as she was able to travel.
To her grandson, Mitchell, she was affectionately known as “Nana,” a role she cherished.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Bergeron. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Bergeron Hadlow; her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Rebecca Bergeron; and her grandson, Mitchell Hadlow.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Millennium Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Riverside Theatre in honor of Linda’s longtime dedication to the performing arts. Contributions may be made by check, payable to Riverside Theater Development, and mailed to:
