I was deeply saddened to hear of Anne’s passing. She was always someone I went to for advice and someone I could truly count on and depend upon. I never had to wonder where I stood with Anne; I always felt her steady, thoughtful, and sincere support and guidance, and that meant more to me than I can say.
Anne’s service to the Mental Health Association in Indian River County spanned many years and was marked by unwavering commitment, thoughtful leadership, and genuine compassion. She brought wisdom, integrity, and a steady voice to our work, always grounded in the belief that mental health care must be accessible, humane, and rooted in dignity.
Beyond her leadership and advocacy, Anne was deeply family oriented. She spoke often and lovingly of her children, grandchildren, and extended family, and it was clear how much joy and meaning they brought to her life. Her love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was evident in the pride she carried and the warmth she shared when she spoke of them.
In honor of her daughter, Rebecca Streetman, Anne established the Rebecca Streetman Foundation, dedicating herself to improving awareness, education, and treatment related to eating disorders and mental health. Through this work, she helped advance prevention efforts, professional education, and meaningful community dialogue around issues too often hidden or stigmatized. Her efforts strengthened not only individual programs, but the broader mental health landscape in Indian River County.
I considered Anne both a trusted mentor and a dear friend, and I will miss her deeply, both as the CEO of the Mental Health Association and as someone whose presence made a lasting difference in my life. She was known for her generosity of spirit, quiet determination, and ability to bring people together in service of a greater good. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched, the programs she supported, the values she modeled, and the family she loved so dearly.
On behalf of the Mental Health Association, and personally, we extend our deepest condolences to Anne’s family, friends, and all who loved her. We are grateful for the privilege of having worked alongside her and for the lasting impact of her service to this Board and to our community. I will miss you, my friend.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I had the honor to get to know her after meeting at Christi’s Fitness many years ago. We spent many hours everyday talking as we walked on the treadmill. She was a bright light and beautiful inside and out, and so very proud of you and your family and your children were the apple of her eye. She will be sadly missed.

I had the privilege of knowing Anne through Impact 100, where she was a devoted volunteer and passionate supporter of our mission, especially in her tireless efforts to raise funds to support our events each season. I loved her style and charisma — and, of course, her unmistakable Southern charm. Anne was endlessly collaborative, kind, and supportive to everyone she worked with, always willing to pitch in wherever she was needed. She will be deeply missed by the Impact 100 community and by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
