Artura Levon Frederick, 56, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away on March 2, 2026.
Artura was a gifted singer, songwriter, and musician who dedicated his life to excellence in music and worship. A proud graduate of Fort Pierce Westwood High School and an attendee of Indian River State College. He built a life centered on faith, service, and sound.
He served as a backline engineer and toured with gospel artists The Pace Sisters. Most recently, he penned the hit song “Inhabit,” performed by Madsen Louth. Artura also contributed as a contracted engineer for numerous live concerts and wrote and recorded music for local choirs,
including Andrews Chapel Mass Choir and the Remnant Community Choir of Atlanta.
Known for his fun-loving and vibrant personality, Artura was always playful and lightened up every room he entered. He had a remarkable ability to make anyone laugh, yet he also possessed a profound gift for leading hearts into heartfelt worship. He spearheaded local worship nights throughout the Treasure Coast, including gatherings for his own worship initiative, Cross Worship Live. Through his production company, Red Roof Productions, he faithfully supported ministries with sound engineering, choir directing, and piano accompaniment.
Artura loved to fish. When asked what he wanted to do, his answer was always the same: “Get a boat and go fishing.” Whether casting a line at sunrise, laughing with family and friends on the water, or enjoying the peace of the open sea, fishing brought him joy, freedom, and contentment. Those who knew him remember how his eyes would light up at the thought of a day on the water and how deeply he treasured every quiet, reflective moment. Above all, Artura deeply loved his family. His daughters and grandchildren were the joy of his life, and he cherished every opportunity to spend time with them. Whether sharing laughter at family gatherings, offering wisdom and encouragement, or simply enjoying quiet moments together, he made sure those he loved knew how much they meant to him. He was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, a caring brother, and a steady source of strength and support to his entire family.
Artura’s life was one of sound, service, laughter, worship, and unwavering love for his family. His impact on every church, stage, and community he served will continue to resonate into eternity.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Bartee Frederick, and his sister, Pleshette Bartee. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Sabrina Riley (Michael) and Artara Frederick; his grandchildren, Zayden, Zoey, and Zhane Riley; his siblings, Dr. Lerel Frederick, Jr. (Mia), Marion Frederick III (Trish), Gilda Anderson (David), Joshua Frederick (Alexandria), Trinette Honeycutt, Tameka Holloway (Brian), Quinn Hercules (Michael), and Yolonda Honeycutt; nieces and nephews, Courtney, Chrisney, Marion IV, Gabrielle (Daquan), Olivia, Tyler (Aloiye), Christa, Nia, Yana, Kanijah, Joshlyn, Joshua Jr., Jia, Kayla, King, Justin, Harmony, Chris, Javon, Tyshia, Jnyah, Bria, Aden, Haven, Trinity, Mason, Micah, Nehemiah, and Jeremiah; godbrothers and godsisters, Allen “Pop”, Thaddeus, Burnetta, and Robyn; along with a host of aunts, uncles, extended relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish his legacy.
“As a new season births forth, I’m grateful to God for who He is and who He’s proving Himself to be. May the songs He birth in me touch the world.”
