It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Barbi Sofia, who departed this life on October 13, 2025, in her cherished beachside community in Florida.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a gift to the hearts of a proud Italian family.
Barbi carried her heritage with grace and warmth, embodying the spirit of hospitality in all that she did. Her home was always filled with the delicious aromas of home-cooked meals, laughter, and the sounds of friends and family gathering around. She poured her heart into making every moment special and every guest feel like family. Barbi was a beloved fixture in her Florida beach community. Her vibrant personality, style, and compassion endeared her to everyone she met. She had a gift for making people feel seen, remembered, and loved—never forgetting a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion.
An impeccable homemaker with a flair for décor, Barbi created spaces that radiated both elegance and warmth. Her home was a reflection of her—stylish, welcoming, and full of life.
More than anything, she was devoted to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, George, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and partnership. She leaves behind her adored daughter Christine and son-in-law Adam, and was the proud and doting grandmother of Codi Skye and Logan Hunter, who brought immense joy to her life.
Barbi’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and generosity. Her presence brightened every room, and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
