Barbara Jolivette

June 05, 1935 ~ May 09, 2025

Barbara Lee Jolivette, 89, of Vero Beach FL, passed away on May 9, 2025. She was born in Chicago, IL on June 5, 1935 to Virgil and June Elliott. She moved to Vero Beach 10 years ago to be close to her daughter Laura Sitko, son-in-law Tony and grandson Ian. Prior to living in Florida she lived in Bellingham, WA and Los Angeles, CA. In Los Angeles she worked as a commercial mortgage loan officer for Prudential Realty Group until she retired and moved to Washington State. She was known for her beautiful blue eyes, wonderful smile and laugh, and for being friendly and welcoming to everyone she met. Her favorite things to do were socializing with her friends and playing Rummikub and Mexican Train. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who had the pleasure to know her.

I was blessed to have been able to call Barb my friend. We spent lots of time together in Vero Beach, sharing a meal, live jazz, live theatre, playing games, shopping, and always a glass of wine. She was always upbeat and fun loving, no matter what we were doing. She will be truly missed. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

Laura and family,
Barbara was one of my very favorite ladies. She always had a kind word or some kind of wisdom to share with me during her appointments. Those striking eyes drew you in and that laugh made you smile. She will be sadly missed.

Barbara was my neighbor at Grove Isle and I enjoyed sitting out with her chatting and sharing a glass of wine. Her beautiful blue eyes matched her personality.

Laura, Tony and Ian,

It is hard to imagine that Barbara is gone. I haven’t seen her since she lived in Bellingham, but thought of her often. So glad she was able to spend her last years near you and your family.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
