Belinda Thomas McKenzie

January 03, 1958 ~ March 04, 2026

Belinda Yvonne Thomas-McKenzie, born January 3, 1958, in Neptune, New Jersey , peacefully passed away in her home in Vero Beach, Florida surrounded by the love of her family. Belinda lived a life defined by kindness, strength, and devotion to those she cherished most.
Belinda worked for many years in private duty housekeeping, where she was known for her strong work ethic and caring spirit. She took pride in helping others and creating warm, welcoming spaces wherever she went. Her generosity, gentle heart, and willingness to lend a hand made a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Above all else, Belinda loved her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Charles Anthony McKenzie, and a loving mother to her three sons: Curtis Lamont Thomas (LaKendra), Charles Anthony McKenzie (Sonya), and Chavar Almyre McKenzie (Christina). Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Belinda was also a proud and loving grandmother to Kiara Thomas, Cajuan Thomas, Jamilah Thomas, Curtez Thomas, Destini Ward, Charles McKenzie, Navohn McKenzie, Princeton McKenzie, Cher’Rish McKenzie, Azalea McKenzie, and Serenidi McKenzie, Emerald Maselbas. She was blessed to see the next generation grow as the great-grandmother of Jayden Lamar Carter and Ka’mia Yvonne Thomas. Each of them held a special place in her heart.
She shared a special bond with her goddaughters Britney Johnson-Hogue, Stephanie McGriff Backstrom, and Jimmearea Grier-Cross, who were dear to her as family.
Belinda was the beloved daughter of Curtis Lee Pierce and Rosalee Thomas. She is also remembered by her siblings Margaret Ray, Thomas Nesby Jr., Matthew Nesby, Judith Nesby, Frankie Nesby, and Adrianne Nesby. She was preceded in death by her siblings Michelle Nesby, Beverly Nesby, and Justine Nesby.
Belinda shared countless moments of love and laughter with her beloved best friend, Vickie Johnson, whose friendship brought her great joy.
Belinda will be remembered for her warm smile, her loving heart, and the way she brought comfort and strength to those around her. Her presence filled every room with love, laughter, and wisdom. Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created and the love she shared will live on forever in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
Her legacy is one of love, faith, and family — a life beautifully lived and deeply cherished.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
