Brian Trent Shanks, age 64, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at his residence. Brian was born May 20, 1961 in Evansville, Indiana a son of Curtis Rex Shanks and Marilyn Lois Hopper Shanks. Brian resided in Palm Bay, Florida for over 15 years. He was a retired medical supplies courier.

Brian loved watching movies and showing off his impressive knowledge of Hollywood facts. Brian also enjoyed cooking for his family, watching sports of all kind, being outdoors, and above all, sharing stories and pictures of his grandson. He dedicated the last decade of his life to caring for his parents. He was a beloved, son, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his daughter, Nicollette Wellman of Gastonia, North Carolina; his mother, Marilyn Lois Hopper Shanks of Palm Bay, Florida; one grandson, Marvel Wellman of Gastonia, North Carolina; two nieces, Megan Paxton and Tessa Shanks.

He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Rex Shanks and his brother, Curtis Anthony Shanks.

Brian will be remembered most for his laugh. With his incredible sense of humor, he could find a joke in almost any situation. His laugh could make the world’s worries go away and even if you didn’t want to laugh, it was impossible not to laugh with him.
