Carmen Delia Maury

February 11, 1951 ~ March 26, 2025

It is with deep love, respect, and sadness that we announce the passing of Carmen Delia Maury on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. She passed peacefully, embraced by family.
Carmen, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all she graced on life’s journey was born on February 11, 1951, in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. She moved to New York City when she was six years old and later to Stanhope, NJ in 1975 with the father of her children and raised her three daughters. Sebastian, Florida has been Carmen’s home for the past 16 years.
A devout Jehovah’s Witness, Carmen always found her home in God’s word, the Holy Bible. She was a full-time pioneer for 30 years. She cherished pioneer school and the bonds she strengthened there. Her ministry brought her on many adventures which included Italy, Greece, and France.
Carmen enjoyed flowers, gardening and dancing to merengue or salsa music. She cherished her daughters and her grandchildren. She thrived on community. She was in constant contact with her family and friends, making a point to check in regularly. Always ready to show up, to lend a hand or an ear or a laugh. Her considerate and thoughtful nature created opportunities for frequent travel to New Jersey, Rhode Island, Georgia, Puerto Rico, California and back to Florida, with family, with friends, or on her own. She loved to travel. She loved to drive.
Carmen was passionate about her faith. Showing up for those around her was her way to demonstrate God’s unconditional love.
Carmen is predeceased by her parents, Rafael Rodriguez Ramos and Maria Selenia Ojeda Rodriguez, her brother Rafael Rodriguez, her sister Lucy Flores, her nephew Anthony Serrano, and her beloved daughter, Annette Maury.
Carmen is survived by her loving daughters Rachel Piekarz and Veronica Maury, her son-in-law Daniel Piekarz, her grandchildren, Luke Piekarz, Eve Piekarz, Grace Munich, Gwennevierre Munich, and John Munich; her aunt Aida Esther Ojeda and family and her siblings: Rafaela Brantley and her son Richard Brantley; Luis Rodriguez, his wife Grisell and their children: Luis Rodriguez and family, Arelis Buzzerio and family, and Daniel Rodriguez; Juan Rodriguez, his wife Gladys and their children: Monique Rodriguez and family, Eileen Rodriguez and family and Juan Rodriguez Valentin and family; Maria Rodriguez and her children: Carmelo Serrano and family, and Christina Serrano and family; husband of Lucy Flores, Jesse and their children: Jesse Flores, Jr. and family, and Abigail Garcia and family; and Esther Ramirez, her husband George and their children: Stephen Cartwright and family, Michael Ramirez and family, and Nydia Perez and family; niece Darlene Lombardo and family and nephew Daniel Ortiz and family.
Carmen was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, a loyal friend with a light-hearted spirit. She led every interaction, every relationship, every encounter with love and understanding. She will be remembered for her joyful, feisty, fun-loving, and kind soul. She led with love. She departed with love. She exemplified love.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Her life was precious in God’s sight & He grieves her loss as well. While her loss is deeply felt by God & you, the loss is only temporary. She will be seated in the heavenlies when Christ returns; you will see her again & I am looking forward to meeting her. May God bless you & your family, filling you all with His great peace, great comfort & His healing presence.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
