Carol “Sue” Niederluecke, 82, formerly of Waterford, MI and Clearwater, FL, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, in Vero Beach, FL surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 18, 1942, in Rockwood, TN, she devoted her life to caring for others. For many years, Sue worked as a nurse, faithfully alongside her husband in his medical practice, where her compassion, warmth, and steady presence comforted countless patients and their families.
She shared her time between Waterford, MI, Clearwater, FL, and Vero Beach, FL, building lasting friendships and touching lives everywhere she went. Known for her sweet spirit, quick wit, and radiant smile, she was truly one of a kind—beautiful inside and out, with a heart full of kindness. She had a gift for making everyone feel special and left a lasting impression on all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Sue is survived by her granddaughter, Ashley Maki; grandson, Michael Maki; daughter-in-law, Deborah Kroll; great grandchildren, Audrianna Patton, Brynlee Franks, Damontrae Franks, Chanel Mathis and Gracelynn Maki.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Donald C. Niederluecke; parents, Enlo “E.H.” and Ludie Bryant; sisters, Evelyn Stewart and Martha “Polly” Riley; sons, Bryan Douglas Maki and Scott Alan Maki and granddaughter, Nicole Marie Maki.
Her family and friends will cherish the laughter, love, and memories she leaves behind.
At Sue’s request, there will be no services.
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed by all.
