Charles Malcolm Landrum

May 19, 1949 ~ January 19, 2026

With grateful hearts, we remember the words of the beloved hymn:
“Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art.”

Charles (Charley) Malcolm Landrum, age 76, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Vero Beach, Florida, and entered into eternal rest with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Charley was born on May 19, 1949, in Miami, Florida, to James Malcolm Landrum and Ludell Landrum. Throughout his life, Charley placed his trust in God and cherished his family. Those who knew him take comfort in the promise of Scripture: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23)

From high school Charley joined the Florida National Guard in 1967 and served until 1974 when he was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his discharge he enjoyed a long and successful career spanning 42 years of dedicated employment, working for BellSouth, South Central Bell, and AT&T from 1969 until his retirement in 2011. He took great pride in his work and was known for his reliability, commitment, and strong work ethic.

Outside of work, Charley found joy in simple pleasures. He especially enjoyed woodworking, camping, and canoeing, often spending time outdoors and creating things with his hands—activities that reflected his patience, creativity, and appreciation for God’s creation.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Belinda Hope Landrum.

He is also survived by his children: Heath Landrum (Jessica Thurman) of Navarre, Florida; Deric Landrum (Diana) of Hohenwald, Tennessee.

Charley was a proud grandfather to Tayler Landrum (Brittany) of Summertown, Tennessee; Gage Landrum (Kendall) of Hohenwald, Tennessee; Presley Clayton of Hohenwald, Tennessee; Rhett Landrum (Taylor Lynn) of Summertown, Tennessee; Scarlett Schiavo (Anthony) of Vero Beach, Florida; Melanie Landrum of Hohenwald, Tennessee; and Anna Kay O’Guin of Linden, Tennessee. Spencer and Hadley Collom of Navarre, Florida.

He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Easton, Charley Mae, Blakely, and Naomi Landrum of Summertown, Tennessee; and Wellings, Embryn, and Relic Landrum of Hohenwald, Tennessee.

Charley was preceded in death by his parents, James Malcolm Landrum and Ludell Landrum, and his brother, James Michael Landrum.

Charley will be cremated, and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Though we mourn his passing, we cling to the truth of God’s Word: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4) We rejoice in the hope found in Christ, knowing that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8)

Hope, we are so sorry to hear this! We know he will be missed greatly. We will always remember all the fun we all had camping and dancing together at NTWP! And the campfires afterward were always awesome! Please remember we are here and thinking of you often. We love and miss you.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
