Chester “Chet” A. Hall, 78, passed away early morning April 21, 2025. Chet was born on June 22, 1946, to Mary Elizbeth (Eversole) Hall and Trevis Lee Hall of Miami, FL. Chet’s family moved to Gardner, IL where he grew into adulthood through Gardner-South Wilmington High School. Through police work, Chet became accomplished in the practices of karate and boxing. He was especially proud when he had the opportunity to become a boxing judge and meet celebrities in the sport like James “Buster” Douglas.

Chet was a senior officer when I began in 1974. He shared much of his experiences with the “new guys” and we learned a lot from him. I was happy for him personally when he landed the chief position in Warrenville but was sorry to see him leave Addison.
