Elaine M. Anderson

August 22, 1954 ~ February 28, 2026

Elaine M. Anderson, 71, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away in her home on Saturday, February 28th, 2026.

Elaine was born in Palmer, Massachusetts, on August 22, 1954. A graduate of Palmer High School Class of 1972, where she retained many life-long friendships. She was a seasonal resident of Morgan, Vermont on Seymour Lake where she grew up summering and had many plans for her retirement.

Elaine was a gifted Physical Therapist of over 50 years, currently serving at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, Florida. She attended the University of Connecticut, Baystate Springfield Nursing School and Springfield Technical Community College, holding licenses in Physical Therapy and Nursing.
Elaine participated and served on the board as Secretary of Operation Friendship, an international youth exchange organization, in its earliest years, leading to many cherished friendships across the globe. More recent, she was a proud active board member and past President of the Port St. Lucie Business Women, a charitable non-profit supporting woman and the community in Florida.

Elaine is survived by siblings Sylvia Fjeld (William Trinkley) & Karl Anderson (Karen Czepiel); Nieces and Nephew: Courtney Anderson (Justin Kelsey, Luke & Henrik Kelsey), Anderson James (Morgan James), & Paige Anderson (Amelia Brodeur); and many close family and friends including Candy Swiatlowski, Cheryl Woods, Cassandra and Everly Adams.

She was predeceased by parents Elmer “Zitch” Anderson and Fay (Hislop) Anderson; and partner Scott Birtley.

Elaine and I grew up together, cousins, and many good memories in Ma. & Vt Elaine was five years younger than me so life separated us for awhile but would try to see each other when we came back to our beloved Seymour Lake ❤️ When Elaine retired we made our connection again as we’re neighbors on the lake . I will cherish the last years we had together and will miss her greatly , she was a wonderful person who blessed so many Rest in piece & you will be so missed
