Gene Snowberger passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025 at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, with his wife Orawan and lifelong friend, James Caster, by his side.
Gene was born in Lemont, PA on May 4,1943 to the late David Clyde and Zipporah Snowberger. He had been a lifelong resident of Fulton-Syracuse area until a few years ago when he moved to Vero Beach, FL.
Gene was honorably discharged from the United States Army and spent most of his life doing what he enjoyed most, flying airplanes. He was an international pilot qualified in multiple jet aircraft and had been an active flight instructor.
At Genes request, his ashes will be interred with his parents who tragically died jointly in an accident when Gene was a youngster in the Dryden, New York area.
He is survived by his daughter, Gena Austin and nephew Charles Snowberger in New York, a sister Linda Rhodes and several grandchildren, Ashley, Alicia, Dylan and great grandson Sawyer.

I found out Gene passed and want to send my condolences.
Gene and I were together for 25 years (married 19 years) and divorced amicably. I haven’t seen or talked to him in awhile, which is a shame.
I am sad but glad it was peaceful.
