Geraldine “Jerry” Jessup passed away August 22, 2025 of natural causes at Heron Cove Nursing Home in Vero Beach, FL. Jerry retired to Lake Placid, FL with her husband Earl from their hometown of Homewood, IL in the mid1990’s. She was born on November 18, 1934 in Harvey, Illinois.
Jerry was a devoted mother and friend to many over the years. She was known by all who loved her for her friendly easy-going personality and her willingness to share her opinions. Additionally, she worked for Richard D Irwin Inc in Homewood for many years before retiring and moving to her dream home in South Florida.
She is survived by her oldest son Mark, his wife Wimberly and their two daughters Sarah Carter VanZomeren (Russell) and Caroline Jessup; her son Todd and his daughter Shannon Jessup and her son Gary Jessup, his wife Chris Jessup, his son Wiley Jessup and her two children Addie and Ryan Burton.
Jerry is also survived by half-sister Peg Mueller and her husband Dr Robert Mueller and half-brother Patrick Corrigan and his wife Mary Beth. Her half-brother Roy Corrigan and half-sister Patricia Cholewa are deceased.

A memorial service for Jerry will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Il on Monday September 22 at 12 noon for those family and friends wishing to attend.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I haven’t spoken to her in a while. I am sorry for that. I wish you guys good luck and the best to you and all your families. I loved her so much. We always had so much fun together.
