Gregory G. Novotny

February 06, 1970 ~ May 30, 2025

Gregory G. Novotny, 55, unexpectedly passed away on May 30, 2025 in Stuart, FL where he was surrounded by his loving wife, sons and brothers. He was born in Indiana, PA on February 6, 1970 to the late Russell J. and Roseanne (Cassisi) Novotny. Greg is survived by his devoted wife and soulmate of 25 years Denise (Dutille) Novotny, his cherished sons Andrew and Evan, his brothers Brian (& Aleyda) Novotny of Hollywood, FL and Jeff (& Laura) Novotny of Herndon, VA, his brothers-in-law Mark (& Beth) Dutille of East Longmeadow, MA and Paul (& April) Dutille of Lexington, KY as well as his amazing nieces and nephews. Greg was an incredibly devoted family man, and his warm, caring, and loving disposition will be immensely missed by those that meant the most to him.
Greg was larger than life – funny, kind, loyal and full of love. To many that knew Greg well, he was Mr. Fix It, Mr. Find It, Mr. DIY, travel agent, trip planner, pool boy, snake wrangler, computer geek, and Mr. Get ‘r Done. He will also be greatly missed by his “framily” = friends that were like family. His absence leaves an immeasurable hole in so many hearts.
Greg graduated from Largo High School in 1988 and afterwards attended and graduated from Florida State University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree. He had an extensive career as a data engineer and IT professional working for numerous companies including Raymond James, MicroStrategy, Lego, SIG Sauer, and Traveler’s Insurance Company. Greg was passionate about traveling, boating, fishing, and hosting family and friends. His family believes that he has moved on to find the next incredible family vacation adventure and the ultimate fishing spot for the boys.
A Celebration of Life is planned for November 8, 2025 in Jensen Beach, FL. The family will happily share details with all that are interested in attending. They hope that everyone can come together to honor and remember this incredible man, in his favorite “uniform”, shorts and flip flops.
In lieu of flowers, an educational fund has been set up to support Andrew and Evan. Greg’s family thanks you for your outpouring of love, support, and prayers during this heartbreaking time. https://gofund.me/9f55d64b

Denise, Andrew, Evan, & extended family,
I am so saddened to read about this. In the short time you lived here, I was able to get to know Greg a bit. He loved his family more than anything. Such a great guy. Fond memories of nerf wars with the boys! Sending love and light. Unfortunately, time will not heal your pain, but will lessen the sharpness of the cut. Always hold the cherished memories close to your heart. Sending love & light. ❤️

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
