Jay Cash

July 25, 1968 ~ March 25, 2025

Jay Leslie Cash, 56, of Vero Beach, Fl,  went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from a motorcycle accident on his way to work.

He was born in Martinsville, IN  to James Aldred Cash and Brenda Jocye Abarovich. Jay has been a resident of Vero Beach for over 55 years.  He graduated from Vero Beach High School. He married his wife Ginger Russell Cash on October 13, 1995.

Jay was an active member of Calvary Chapel, Vero Beach for ten years. He helped lead the parking ministry at CCVB and previously with Vero Beach Alliance Church for twenty years as an elder, youth leader, worship team member and handyman with Vero Beach Alliance. He currently worked for CACI Azure Summit Technologies in Melbourne, FL, as a quality inspector.  Jay was previously employed by Extant Aerospace, Embraer, Sikorsky, Turbo Combustor Technologies, Piper Aircraft and the City of Vero Beach Airport.

Jay was an Eagle Scout and a Scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America for many years.  He was a motorcycle enthusiast and an Amazon junkie. He loved to build things; his latest project was his second camper. He loved spending time doing projects with his family, camping, traveling, exploring gardens, and historical places.  His nieces and nephew will fondly remember that no adventure was complete without a trip to get ice creams!

Jay is survived by his wife Ginger Cash; children Joseph Cash, Aly Cash Brothers, and Jordan Cash, his grandchildren Landon and Logan Brothers, Kennedy Grace Cash siblings Jerry, James, John, Garet and Stephanie Cash. He is preceded by his parents  James and Brenda Cash and his sister Sandy Cody.

Dear Ginger and family
I am so very sorry to hear of Jay‘s passing. It was such a blessing getting to know you and your children and once in a while seeing Jay through homeschooling, and then seeing you at Calvary. You and Jay’s sweet, kind and loving spirit has shown the love of Jesus.
May God hold you close and give you His comfort and peace. You and your family are in my prayers and thoughts. Love, Jane Unsicker (Bradbury)

My heart goes out to Ginger and his family. Jay had a relationship with the Lord so we know where he is in his eternal life. He will be missed in this world but get right with the Lord and see him again in eternal life. Love to all

Jay was a good man, a fine role model for his children, and the young men in the church. His death is a terrible loss, for his church, his co-workers, his friends, and especially, for his family. Please everyone, bless them, and pray for them. A loss like this leaves Deep and Lasting Wounds, which often heal with great difficulty.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

My sincere condolences to Ginger and family.
Jay was a true brother to me. Always considerate, kind and compassionate. I miss him a lot, and the devotionals he sent to me every morning. I will see him again on the other side! Thank you Jesus!

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
