John Robert Boardman

John Robert Boardman 75, of Barefoot Bay, Florida, passed through the gates of heaven on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

John was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 24, 1950. After graduation from Neshaminy High School and trade school in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, John started on his career as a Millwright with United States Steel Corporation in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. He worked at the Steel Mill for over thirty-three years, retiring in 2001. John had a zest for life and was always there with a helping hand. No project was too big or too small. During those years, he enjoyed riding his Harley and cruising the Delaware and Chesapeake Bays.

In 2001, he moved to Barefoot Bay with his wife Joanne. Having sold their boat for the move to Florida, they continued their love of the water embarking on thirty-five cruises. During this time, there was always a Harley for him to ride.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Boardman and Alice Brown Keams and stepdaughters Charlene Michele Sadow! and Denise Marie Kocon. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 56 years, Joanne Theresa Boardman, sisters, Carol Sellers and Barbara Anderson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his two Shih Tzus who were always by his side, Chloe and Maggie.

At John’s request, there will be no visitation. All services are currently pending and will be private. Interment will be in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
