Judith Rose Chittenden passed away peacefully at her home in Vero Beach, Florida, on September 3, 2025, at the age of 90.
Born on March 24, 1935, some of her earliest and favorite memories were visiting the Pewinski family farm in Gaylord, Michigan. She later made her home in Grand Ledge, where she raised her children while her husband Charles worked for AAA. After many years together, Judy and Charles moved to Vero Beach, FL to enjoy their retirement.
Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty years Charles, daughter Rose, and son David. She is lovingly remembered by her son Kevin; stepson Craig; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson, Ezra.
A devoted Catholic, wife, and mother, Judy found joy in life’s simple pleasures—golfing, cooking, enjoying a cold one, and most especially spending time with her family. She was fond of saying “Imagine me wrapping my arms around you in a great big hug”, a memory that will be cherished for those who knew her. One of her final visits was to a family reunion in Gaylord, where she was honored as both the oldest attendee and the one who had traveled the farthest.
Judy’s faith guided her throughout her life and brought comfort to those around her. Her legacy lives on through the generations of family she cherished so deeply.
May she rest in eternal peace and may her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
