Kaare Egil Haugland

August 09, 1939 ~ September 09, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, and grandfather, Kaare Egil Haugland, age 86, of Sebastian, Florida, who went to be with our Lord on September 9, 2025. He was born on August 9, 1939 in Os, Norway to Simon and Borghild Haugland. Kaare came to the United States in November of 1952 with his parents and sisters at the age of 13. From a very early age, his life was marked by strength, faith, and an unwavering devotion to his loved ones. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Aud, a proud father of five children, and a cherished grandfather to thirteen grandchildren as well as eight great grandchildren. Kaare’s life was filled with accomplishment, honor, and character. He was a world-class archer, a passionate sports fisherman known for his secret fishing holes, a skilled outdoorsman, and a master wood craftsman. In addition, Kaare played his guitar daily and entertained many with his country and gospel songs. Yet, beyond all these talents, what shone brightest was his steadfast faith in Jesus Christ. His love for the Lord and his testimony left a lasting impression on all who knew him, but most especially on his family. Kaare was preceded in death by Annamarie Haugland, his previous wife of 43 years; his parents, Simon and Borghild Haugland; and Mary Cordts, his sister.
Kaare is survived by his devoted wife, Aud; his children, Corey Haugland, Kimberly Metry, David Haugland, Seth Haugland, and Kaleb Haugland; his treasured grandchildren, David, Julia, Christina, Corey, Paige, Brina, Christian, Jared, Gabriella, Greyson, Kaare, Ty, and Paxton; and his eight great grandchildren. His legacy of faith, integrity, and love will continue to guide us.

The celebration of life information is in the comments below.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
