Keith Blair Patterson, age 60, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025. Born on May 18, 1965, in Havre De Grace, Maryland, he was the beloved son of Kathleen and Harry Patterson.
Keith was a dedicated educator, a proud graduate of Clemson University, and held two master’s degrees. Throughout his career, he served in various school districts as an Earth Science teacher before becoming Assistant Principal at Cherokee High School within the Lenape Regional High School District of New Jersey. Later, he advanced into administrative roles, where he enthusiastically integrated technology into education through innovative programs and initiatives. He also served as Assistant Principal at Shawnee High School and Seneca High School, both within the Lenape Regional High School District of New Jersey.
A passionate science enthusiast, Keith loved sharing his curiosity with others, especially his two daughters. Together, they founded Science Kidz, where Keith conducted engaging science experiments, inspiring young minds and involving his daughters in the process.
As an Eagle Scout, Keith had a love of nature, camping, and Disney that was evident in his many family adventures. He, his wife Erin, and their son Jack often explored Disney World and Fort Wilderness, creating treasured memories through their camping trips.
An incredibly organized person, Keith took great joy in making lists, color-coding plans, and designing detailed travel itineraries, ensuring every trip and project was well-planned and enjoyable. His meticulous nature extended to building and repurposing—he transformed his backyard into a beautiful garden, designed a greenhouse, rebuilt old radios into iPhone-compatible systems, and turned old Macs into unique fish tanks.
He was an avid fan of superhero movies, science-fiction, video games, and a worldly explorer, having traveled to over 50 countries and embracing many diverse cultures.
Keith was a devout Christian, and his faith was a strong foundation in his life. He knew this world was not his ultimate destination and now is in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by love and absent of sorrow or tears.
Keith is survived by his loving wife Erin, his children and their spouses—Jordan O’Leary (Steve), Taylor Hutchingson (Stephen), and Jack Patterson—and cherished grandson Rory O’Leary. He also leaves behind his sisters – Kim Patterson and Jennifer Wroten – as well as many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry Patterson and Kathleen Penn, as well as his late wife Diana Patterson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hope Alive Clinics.
Keith’s kindness, curiosity, organizational skills, and creativity will be dearly missed but forever remembered.

We will miss his enthusiasm, humor, and wisdom, but we are thankful that we will meet again in glory with our loving Savior. Our love and prayers are with his wife, Erin, and his family. May God bless you and give you the peace and comfort only He can give. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:7

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
And in His word I do hope.

To Keith’s wife Erin and all his family & friends:
Thank you for sharing him with other Christians like me & many others who only interacted with him online in Bible Study as he encouraged others in the faith, hope and love of Christ Jesus & love for our brothers & sisters.
I knew him only as a humble, upbeat, engaged student of scripture who always had a laugh, bible promise, encouraging word & respect for the opinions & struggles of others, a great Christian example.
I know he is peacefully awaiting your joyful reunion and getting the place ready for the rest of us. I’m praying for the Holy Spirit of God to comfort you in his loss from the earth, I’m so sorry.
