Keith H. Thompson

January 09, 1938 ~ October 28, 2025

Keith H. Thompson, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud U.S. Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, at the age of 87.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and soulmate of 56 years, Carol, and his youngest son, Scott. He is survived by his son David and daughter-in-law Rebecca; son Keith and daughter-in-law Angela; daughter Kimberly; daughter-in-law Michelle; and his cherished grandchildren, all of whom he adored deeply.

At just 17 years old, Keith joined the United States Navy, beginning a distinguished career that spanned more than 20 years. A Vietnam veteran, he served his country with honor around the world and played a key role in the Nuclear Weapons Program, where he developed spy plane footage critical to the nation’s defense. Following his military retirement, Keith continued his service to the public through a 20-year career with the U.S. Postal Service.

Keith’s greatest joy was his family. He loved them unconditionally—especially his wife Carol, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure. Together, they raised a family and later spent their golden years traveling the country in their RV, exploring life side by side. Now, their travels continue together in the house of the Lord.

Keith will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Carol at the City of Sebastian Cemetery.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public service.

To the Thompson family. I only knew Mr. Thompson through the stories his son David told. You must have been a loving and caring man because all I heard was live and admiration about you.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Thompson at a Dads & Lads outing. I quickly realized why his son Keith spoke so highly of his father. We are sorry for the family’s loss but also happy the family had such a solid man in their lives for so long.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
