Kennith Wayne Forbes, fondly known as Little Kenny, Kenny, Ken, and Dad, passed away on June 13, 2025, in Vero Beach, Florida, at the age of 59, after fighting a losing battle with throat cancer.
Born on July 13, 1965, in York, Pennsylvania, Kennith was the beloved son of Kenneth Wade Forbes and Donna Miller Forbes. He was preceded in death by both parents—his father in 2021 and his mother in 2022.
Kennith made his home in Sebastian, Florida for nearly forty years. He built a career there as a Residential Roofing Contractor for almost twenty of those years and was known for his dedication to his work. In his work ethic and commitment, he left a lasting impression on those he worked with and for throughout the years.
Beyond his profession, Kennith found great joy in the outdoors. He especially enjoyed deep sea diving for lobsters and sunken treasure—a passion that reflected his adventurous spirit. Fishing and hunting were also among his favorite pastimes of which he pursued with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lucille Martin Forbes; their son, Travis; two brothers; four sisters; and their families. He also leaves behind many cousins as well as aunts and uncles.
In keeping with Kennith’s wishes, there will not be a traditional funeral service. Instead, a “scattering of ashes” ceremony will be held on July 13th, his 60th birthday.
Those wishing to attend may contact Lucille or Travis for further details.

To my family, my deepest condolences. I remember Uncle Kenny growing up. He was always happy like my Dad, Mark, his cousin. Dad had a deep love for Kenny and Lucille. I remember visiting the house a couple times as a kid and I’ll remember Uncle Kenny at his best. Dad died young as well at 52. I still grieve all the memories we were supposed to make together. I will be praying for everyone. Rest in Peace Uncle Kenny
