It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lance Fedick, a cherished member of the Vero Beach community. Born in Queens, New York, on April 10, 1951, Lance moved to Vero Beach in 1957. His parents bought The Coffee Break downtown and later built The Menu restaurant on South Beach. Growing up, he lived above the restaurant and developed a lifelong passion for surfing on South Beach.
Lance was predeceased by his father, Michael T. Fedick, and his mother, Katherine Hikel Fedick. He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Karen Fedick; his daughters, Duska Fedick and Delta Roybal Fedick; his son, Michael Fedick; his stepsons, Jamie Calloway and Jason Calloway; as well as his grandchildren, Kayley Calloway, Sarah Calloway, and Carter Calloway.
A pastor and teacher of New Life Ministry, Lance was also an entrepreneur who opened the Crystal Palace, one of the first game rooms in Vero Beach. He owned and operated Service Solutions Property Care until his retirement in 2018. Lance had an exceptional ability to encourage creativity and celebrate uniqueness, finding magic in everyday moment.
One of his greatest joys was hosting family Christmas parties, where he created exciting games for the children to earn money and prizes. These gatherings became so beloved that even the kids’ friends begged to attend the family events.
Lance’s life was vibrant, beautiful, messy, and chaotic at times, but it was always filled with soul-stirring beauty. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

I just heard the sad news of loosing Lance. I didnt know him but for maybe 2 years when we became neighbors. When he heard I came from NY we hit it off immediately, and he just had story after story to tell me about his life. And it was a very interesting life for sure. I do believe he lived life to the fullest and had a heart as big as a lion. He will be missed by all who knew him. May your journey bring you peace my friend.

My mom and dad owned the Sea Vista Motel, right across from the Menu back in the late 60s and 70s. Lance would use our beach access to go surfin’. He and his parents were much loved by us and we were all friends. Lance became a Jesus follower about the same time I did. It was always nice to run into him and have a God conversation. Such a shock to hear he’s gone from earth but I know that as a believer, his soul is in the loving hands of God. See you later, Lance.
