Lila Irish Reynolds, 95, passed away on August 17, 2026, in Vero Beach, Florida.
Lila was born and raised in Scarsdale, New York. Over the course of her life she made her home in Upper Montclair, New Jersey; Convent Station, New Jersey; and finally Vero Beach, Florida, where she spent her retirement years.
As a single mother with two kids in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s — not the norm at the time — she successfully navigated work, kids’ school, and a social life. She had the support of her wonderful father, fabulous in-laws, extended family, and friends, especially Jeanne New Jaeckle.
For close to fifty years, Lila worked at F. Gerald New, Inc., a jewelry store in Chatham, New Jersey, owned by best friends Edward and Jeanne Jaeckle. There, she became known for her knowledgeable guidance in helping customers select the perfect jewelry and gifts — she treasured the friendships she made along the way. When the Harding Township store was opened, Lila and Catherine Jaeckle Norbury made a wonderful team at the Chatham store for 30 years. Lila also gave her time as a volunteer at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital, a volunteer program created by Jeanne Jaeckle.
Above all, Lila loved her family and took every opportunity to be with them. She became a world traveler with trips to Paris, Copenhagen, London, Ireland, Cabo, and many destinations across the United States with family. She often boasted about her children and grandchildren — their latest jobs, travel, schools, children, and successes.
When she retired to Vero Beach, she made good friends easily because of her kindness, friendliness, sense of fun and humor. She enjoyed reading books, going to the Beach Club, dining out with a glass of white wine, and being with close and extended family.
Lila was predeceased by her beloved son, Paul Reynolds (survived by his wife, Laura Summers Reynolds).
She is survived by her daughter, Tricia Reynolds Kosowsky, and husband Richard Kosowsky; her grandchildren, Parker Elizabeth Warner and husband Steven Warner, Colin Reynolds and wife Rebecca Trayner Reynolds, Lila Kosowsky, and Annie Kosowsky; and her great-grandchild, Hutchinson Warner.
She was predeceased by her ex-husband, H. Paul Reynolds.

Funeral Service will be held at Christ the King in New Vernon, NJ on Monday, August 31 at 1:30 in the afternoon with a reception to follow at The Madison Hotel from 3 to 5.
