Lillian (Billie) Florence Ignaszak (Lafeir), passed away on Tuesday February 17, 2026. Lillian was born to the late Preston JosephLaFeir and late Helen Frances Nowak on January 24, 1945 in Detroit, MI.
Lillian LaFeir married George Ignaszak on September 8, 1967 in Mt. Clemens, MI. Lillian was a supportive wife, mother and active community member. She worked for the Office of the Aging in NY, delivered meals on wheels among many other public service endeavors.
Lillian’s adventurous spirit took her on a life adventure where she lived in MI, IL, NC, OH, NY, KY, VA and FL. Lillian was known for making friends wherever she went. She loved to go on drives to explore the countryside and find the perfect rock, tree, or find seeds to a new plant she needed to grow. Lillian had many hobbies among them were bowling, ceramics, writing, gardening and hiking.
Lillian is pre-deceased by George R Ignaszak (husband), George E Ignaszak(son), Preston and Helen Lafeir (parents), Joseph Lafeir (brother), Richard LaFeir (brother), Robert LaFeir (brother), Linda Knoth (sister), and David LaFeir (brother).
Lillian is survived by her children Jodi Head, Jeana Tillett (Ted), and Jessica Wade.
Grandkids: Cody (Leah) Schindler, Daejen Ignaszak, Jerzi Ignaszak, Sydney (Elijah) Browning, Savannah Tillett, Sierra Tillett, Sawyer Tillett, Alicia Wade, Sarah Wade, Ares Wade and Melissa Wade.
Great grandkids: Nile and Adelaide Schindler, Fallon Ignaszak.
Siblings: Mary (Jim) Schwab, Alice Labowski, James LaFeir (Bruce Willing), Gerald (Linda) LaFeir, and Frank (Carloyn) LaFeir.
Services will be May 9, 2026 4-6pm at Woodhead Funeral Home located in Falmouth, KY
