Mary Elizabeth (Zupo) Skroly, 88, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2026, leaving behind a loving family and a lifetime of cherished memories.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Mary graduated from Good Counsel College in White Plains, New York. Throughout her life, family remained at the heart of everything she did.

Mary was the devoted wife of the late Andrew Skroly, her beloved husband of 56 years, and the proud mother of five children: Andrew Skroly and his wife, Susan, of Madison, Connecticut; Mary Craig and her husband, James, of Newtown, Connecticut; Thomas Skroly and his wife, Helen, of Calabash, North Carolina; Suzanne Mattera and her husband, John, of Oviedo, Florida; and John Skroly and his wife, Teresa, of Norwalk, Connecticut.

She was also a loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren: Marissa; Matthew and his wife, Shani; Mark; Andrew; Patrick; Veronica; James; Joseph; Emily; Catherine and her husband, Malik; Caitlin and her husband, Brian; John; Thomas; and Maureen. Mary was predeceased by her cherished granddaughter, Meaghan.

Mary enjoyed a long and successful professional career, serving for 30 years as Head of Human Resources at Wright Investors’ Service. She took great pride in her work and the relationships she built throughout her career.

Outside of work, Mary had a love of travel and enjoyed exploring new places, including memorable trips throughout Europe. These adventures were among the many experiences that enriched her life and created lasting memories.

Mary lived a full and meaningful life, defined by her devotion to family, dedication to her work, and appreciation for life’s experiences. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.

A private Catholic funeral service is planned by the family.
