Maureen McKenna Brennan

Maureen McKenna Brennan, loving and dedicated mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully during the afternoon of October 20, 2025 in the presence of her family. Maureen was born Barbara Maureen McKenna in Jamaica, NY on May 13, 1941 to Dr. John McKenna and Mrs. Rosemary McKenna (Cullen).

Maureen graduated from SUNY Oswego in 1961 with a Bachelor of Education degree and married fellow Oswego student John C. (Jack) Brennan in 1962. Maureen worked and raised her three children Kathy, John, and Dan in upstate New York and retired to Punta Gorda, Florida with Jack in 2000. The couple finally settled in Vero Beach in 2011 where Maureen was active in local community and church groups.

She is survived by her spouse of 63 years John C. Brennan; children Katherine and son-in-law Chris Maimone; John and daughter-in-law Thasamon Brennan; Daniel and daughter-in-law Jennifer Brennan; and by five grandchildren; Matthew and his wife Lisette Brennan; Haley Brennan; Katharine (Katie) Brennan; Louisa Amunategui; and Troy Ninlabut Brennan.
