Randy Howder

Randy Howder, 75, of Vero Beach passed away peacefully on April 6th with his loving wife, Carol by his side at Advent Health Hospital in Orlando.

Born on August 22nd, 1950 in McKeesport, PA he was the son of William and Lillian Howder and resided in Vero Beach for 74 years.

He attended Vero Beach High School and Western Kentucky University on a golf scholarship. In his early years he was a stock broker and then became an insurance agent for Allstate. Later on he decided to open up his own agency, Howder Insurance.

Randy was an avid golfer and a member of the Vero Beach Country Club where he won several club championships. He also enjoyed his time organizing “The Howder Group”, where fellow members and new members gathered to play a round of golf on Thursdays and Saturdays. He was a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins and the University of Miami Hurricanes. Watching old western cowboy classics and putting together difficult puzzles were two of his favorite hobbies. He loved every single day with this wife Carol and any time spent with his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his loving wife Carol of 37 years. His niece, Heather Brozowski, her husband Will and their two sons, Perry and Tony of Atlanta, Georgia. His nephew, Conrad Perry and his wife Breanna and their kids Gavin and Veronica of Georgia. He is also survived by Robert Keating Delaney, Jr and his wife, Aime and their son Bobby of New Bedford, Massachusetts, Sean Delaney of Narragansett, Rhode Island, Meghan McCrea and her sons Keating and Jensen of Raleigh, NC and Danielle Delaney of Raleigh, NC. His loving sister-in-law Deana Malchow and her husband, Glenn of Vero Beach.

Services will be held on Thursday April 9th at First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach at 2pm, 520 Royal Palm BLVD.
