With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our precious daughter, Baby Stalaysia Hope Day who was born into the arms of Jesus on July 19, 2025. Though her time with us was brief, she made an everlasting impact on all who awaited her arrival with open hearts.

Baby Stalaysia was diagnosed with anencephaly early in pregnancy, a condition that meant her earthly life would be short. Yet, she was deeply cherished and celebrated every day she was carried by her mother, cradled in love, hope, and faith. Her life, though small in time, was immeasurable in meaning.

She is mourned and loved beyond words by her mother, Summer Dawn Day. She is also remembered tenderly by her siblings, Stavon Day and Sayora Day; grandparents, Roger and Kathy Morrison and all those who prayed for and loved her from afar.

We find peace in knowing that Baby Stalaysia never knew pain—only the warmth of her mother’s womb and the love of her family. She went straight from the safety of the womb into the eternal embrace of our Savior. Her life was not in vain; she brought light, taught us grace, and reminded us that every soul, no matter how small, holds profound purpose.

At the request of the family, services will be private.

Though our arms are empty, our hearts are full of the love she gave us. We will carry her memory forever.

They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
