Stephen Mark Horwitz passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 64. Steve was a longtime resident of Fort Pierce, Florida, and a cherished member of the community he called home.
He was the youngest son of Jules and Elizabeth Horwitz, proud owners of Lakewood Park Nursery, where they shared their love of plants and their deep commitment to serving the community. Steve carried forward that same appreciation for hard work, nature, and connection throughout his life.
Steve dedicated many years of his professional life as the Property Manager at South Cove Condominiums, where he took great pride in his work and built lasting relationships with residents and colleagues. He was known for his reliability, dedication, and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Steve was a devoted and loving husband, a proud father to his three children and two stepchildren, and an adored grandfather. He was also a beloved brother, uncle, and loyal friend to many. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of plants, his enthusiasm for sports, and his sense of adventure. Steve brought warmth, humor, and kindness to those around him and touched many lives in meaningful ways.
Steve will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do.
