Susan Britton (Mitchell), age 68, passed away peacefully at Hospice House on December 3, 2025, in Vero Beach, Fl. Born on November 29, 1957, to William C Mitchell and Emma P Dooley, both deceased, Susan lived a life filled with love, kindness and devotion to family.

Susan was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband Anthony W Britton; sons, Dennis Mitchell; Joey Mitchell (Elizabeth); her daughter, Anne Marie Walker (James); four sisters, Jean Green (Gary); Donna Mitchell; Gloria Brown (David); Doris Hall and a brother, Ray McNeal (Donna); eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by both parents, a brother George “Billy” Mitchell Sr.; sister, Linda Gayle Hubler; and daughter Jennifer Lynn Larkey.

Throughout her life, Susan worked in various fields but always had a passion for cooking and hosting get togethers. She was an amazing cook and expressed her love through meals she shared with family and friends.

Susan was a strong, determined woman who loved spending time with those she loved. Her legacy of hard work, love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do.
