Virginia Ferri (Colasanto)

August 13, 1949 ~ August 10, 2025

Virginia Ferri (Colasanto), 75, of Melbourne Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, after a courageous battle with dementia.

Born on August 13, 1949, in Providence, Rhode Island, Virginia was the daughter of the late Americo and Gina (Colangelo) Colasanto. She was the beloved wife of Vincent Ferri Sr., with whom she shared 56 years of devoted marriage. She was preceded in death by her loving in-laws, Anthony and Angelina (Visconti) Ferri.

Virginia dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker and also worked as a bookkeeper for Chapel Corporation. She later worked for the Fargnoli Family at Specialty Cleaners, where she developed lasting friendships with many of the repeat customers. In her later years, she found great joy in caring for Victoria Ferri.

She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her generous spirit. She was a devoted “dog grandma” to Rocco and Lola.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Vincent Ferri Sr.; her children, Vincent Ferri Jr. and Donna Ferri; her many beloved nieces and nephews, including Emmy and Nicholas Wilson; and her cousin, Vincenza Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Virginia’s honor to the William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Pkwy, Palm Bay, Florida 32907.

Dear Virginia,

I will miss seeing you. I’ll miss your smile and laugh. I’ll miss all of the holidays we spent together. You and I had the special only child bond lol. No one made chocolate cream pie, Italian cookies and deviled eggs better than you. You were a very generous person with a very kind heart. Luckily, I have a lot of fond memories of our time together to reflect upon any time that I wish and that is comforting. You were so wonderful and generous to my whole family especially my children. Most importantly, I will also never forget that you were one of the four people in the car that day who helped me and my mother making arrangements after my father passed away suddenly. I will also never forget the time you came to visit Golgi when she was very sick and had just a short time left. You walked into our backyard and the second Golgi saw you, she mustered what ever little strength she had left, to wag her tail for you, a sign of your mutual love for one another. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. To Vincent and Vinny you know that I am am very sorry for your loss and if you ever need anything, you know that I am always only a phone call away.
I love you,
Robert Wilson

My sweet sweet friend – Sending all our love and blessings in your new resting place.
So many beautiful memories over 60+ years – ever since we had that accidental meet up at RIC in 1967. Just silly, happy, memorable times and shared celebrations with you and Vinny – too many to list but never too many to remember with joy in our hearts. We will miss you so very much. Always kind, always heartfelt.
Vinny – we can’t send enough sympathy to you and family.

What a beautiful picture, showing the angel Ginny was to us all and still will be! We will meet again when God decides.
Love Ray and Gail

Vinny, I can’t believe Virginia has passed. I will never forget that she was by my side everyday when Al had his heart attack. She was a very special friend. My children all have very fond memories of her. They loved her. Rest in peace my friend. Love, Donna Isabella

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
