William Paul Penlon

December 20, 1937 ~ October 15, 2025

William Paul Penlon, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully in his home on October 15, 2025. William, affectionately known as Bill to everyone he met, was born on December 20, 1937, to Cora Beitsma and Arthur Penlon in Rochester, NY.
Bill was a resident of the Western New York region for the majority of his life. He relocated to Vero Beach, Florida, with his wife, Iva Penlon, whom he married on November 7, 1992.
In addition to being a successful analyst for over 30 years at Xerox, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, bocce, and camping. You could often find him playing his hand in an intense game of Euchre or competing against his family while watching Jeopardy! every night. But he always enjoyed his favorite candy in his recliner or a bowl of ice cream with syrup before bed. However, his true passion was being a jokester and giving everyone a run for their money, with his witty comebacks.
William is survived by his wife, Iva Penlon; daughter, Stacey Penlon; stepson, John Hogan; stepdaughter, Dawn (David) Lemieux; stepdaughter, Lisa Bergfjord; granddaughter, Christina (Eric) Dennison; granddaughter, Jessica (Christopher) Wood; grandson, Molalign Meagher; great-grandson, Dillon Fulmer; and great-granddaughter, Maliya Fulmer.
William is predeceased by his parents, Cora and Arthur Penlon; brother, Bruce Penlon; son, James Penlon; and his beloved dog, Red.

  • The service from Millennium was outstanding. Rachel was sweet, personable and very comforting. It was important to me that my dad was kept locally where I knew where he would be. Very nice facility, state of the art and quality of my fathers remains were so refined compared to my mothers years ago. I highly recommend this place for an affordable choice for your loved one. Thank you for making an already stressful event easy. With high regards, the Esposito and Keith Family.

  • Millennium Cremation provided a fantastic service to our family at a difficult time. Our beloved mother passed away in Vero Beach and the rest of the family was in other parts of the country. Due to the Covid health crisis, none of us could get to Vero Beach in person. That's where Millennium took over. They helped us manage everything, coordinated with a cemetery in Maine, managed the obituaries, expedited all the paperwork, and even delivered an important document locally that saved us days. Funeral director Rachel was a godsend, and she made it clear what she was going to do, and what we needed to do. If you know what you want, Millennium is highly recommended, and the savings versus the full service mortuaries is significant.
