William Eugene (Bill) Porter 92 of Vero Beach, FL passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025 surrounded by his loving children. He was born in Detroit, MI on March 2,1933 to William and Ann Nestor Popovich. Bill was married to his beloved wife Elizabeth for 64 years who recently preceded him in death on April 4, 2025.

He is survived by his children, Jim (Adriana) Porter of Monterrey Mexico, Nancy (Mike) Gard of Middleport, OH, Lorri Hagwood of Beaver, PA, Ellen (Joe) Videtta of Boston, MA, Teppe (Sally) Popovich, MD, of Vero Beach, FL and Alice Porter (Tom Oddo) of Davidson, NC. Grandchildren include Jim (Heather) Porter, Sarah (Randy) Wright, Kristi Main, Paul (Amy) Pullins, Emily Hagwood, Ashley (Matt) Kanelos, Amanda Porter, Kyle (Bonnie) Califar, Elizabeth Videtta, Emmy Gard, Carly Martin, a special canine companion, Charlie, several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth of 64 years, his parents William and Ann Popovich, his sister Elynor Potter, a young daughter Amy Elizabeth, and grandson, Timothy Baclit. Bill Porter lived an extraordinary life beginning as a young successful business owner, mastering the sport of golf and deep sea fishing. He had a love of playing games from cards, backgammon and dominoes with his family and later developed a passion for Bingo. He had a special drive within him to always be the best at anything he did. A private family service was held per his wishes. In Bill’s honor, a celebration of his life will be held at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Cinnaminson, NJ at a later date.
